Format
Please supply your files in JPEG format. If you are uploading direct from a phone, your files should already be in this format. We highly recommend sRGB colour profiles and do not support CMYK.
File size
For optimum print quality, please upload hi-resolution photos of at least 2MB and 300dpi resolution. Please note that photos sent to you via WhatsApp will generally have been reduced in file size (to 200Kb) and therefore print at a very low quality.
Finish
If you intend to frame your print behind glass we recommend you choose matt finish, if you are wanting photos with vibrant colours we would recommend a glossy finish.
No can do.
We can’t turn a bad photo into a great print. Please review our professional photo printing advice below and check the photo print preview carefully before approving your photos for printing.
Cropping
Sometimes your photos may be a different aspect ratio to our prints or you may want to print a rectangular photo as a square print or print a portrait iPhone snap as a landscape or square print. When you upload a photo, we don’t know which part of your photo you want to print! Therefore, we provide a free cropping tool so that you can select the area of your photo to print. Our cropping tool means there’s no excuse for cut off heads!
Trimming & Bleed
Please be aware that we trim your photos after printing. It’s called bleed and means you will lose a very small part of your print on all four edges – typically around +/- 3mm. This may not sound much but we suggest that you crop your photo to avoid having any important body part or text close to the edge of your print which may be unintentionally cut off. We strongly suggest that you avoid having any important parts of your photo within the safe zone, this is an area of 5mm all around the edge of the photo. An alternative is to add a white border to your print, that way none of your photo will be cut off during trimming.
Brightness
When you view a photo on a phone, tablet or computer the brightness setting may mean it appears brighter than it really is. We don’t artificially brighten your photos before printing and therefore you should check the true brightness of your photo before printing it out.
Preview
We give you the opportunity to preview every print before we print your photo. It’s important to use this opportunity to check your purchase as we cannot offer returns or refunds for dark or poorly cropped photos.
Take account of our advice and your prints will turn out great!
