What are the payment options?
Jackpot winners may choose to receive their prize as an annuity, paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or a lump-sum payment. Both advertised prize options are prior to federal and jurisdictional taxes.

Double Play offers another chance to win! For just an extra $1, Double Play enters a player’s Powerball numbers into a second drawing. This opportunity provides the chance to win additional prizes, up to $10 MILLION!
Can players buy Double Play- only tickets?
No! Double play is an optional feature you can add to your Powerball ticket. To use it, you need to buy a $2 Powerball ticket and pay an extra $1 for the double play option.
Can players buy a Powerball ticket with both the Power Play and Double Play options?
Yes! Power Play and Double Play can be added to any Powerball ticket.
Does the Power Play multiplier apply to Double Play prizes?
No! The Power Play multiplier only applies to prizes won in the Powerball drawing. Prizes won in the Double Play drawing cannot be multiplied.
Will players receive separate numbers for the Double Play drawing?
No! When you buy a Powerball ticket and add Double Play for $1, that ticket is valid for both drawings.
Are Powerball prizes changing because of Double Play?
No! The Powerball prize structure will remain the same. Double Play has its own prize structure.

The Powerball drawing takes place at 10:59 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays. Double Play is a second drawing that happens at 11:29 p.m.,30 minutes after each Powerball drawing, giving you the chance to win in both the Powerball and Double Play drawings.
